the boy
Portrait
My inspiration for this piece was to show the beauty of the subjects eyes and all the variations that exist among them. Many people do not realize eyes are not one color or value but have a large range of colors and values that make them so unique and beautiful.
To create this piece realistically I used a grid to ensure correct proportions. The grid enabled me to map out my piece accurately. After mapping out my piece I stared added value starting with the dark areas and working my way into the light areas. I used a cotton ball to smooth out the face and a ending stump to blend the hair.
Camera
pen and ink
My inspiration was that i was going to draw a camera because i wanted to learn how to take good photos.
